How it works

Drag & drop or browse to upload. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC up to 40 MB.

  2. 2

    Pick a radius

Slider runs 0% (no change) to 50% (circle on a square). 12-20% feels modern; 50% turns squares into circles.

Why use this online tool

Live radius slider

See the effect update as you drag - find the exact radius that looks right for your photo.

PNG with alpha

Output is PNG so the corners are properly transparent - drop the result into a coloured background and the rounding stays clean.

100% browser-side

Conversion runs locally - your photo never touches a server.

Free, no watermark

Unlimited rounded-corner outputs, no signup, no overlay on the result.

When to use it

  • Card UI thumbnails for SaaS dashboards and product gallery components
  • App icon mock-ups in pitch decks before exporting to Sketch / Figma
  • Social posts with soft corners that feel premium / editorial
  • Profile picture thumbnails for community apps with rounded-corner avatars
  • Badge / certificate previews where pure rectangles look harsh

Frequently asked questions

Does this upload my photo to a server?
No. Rounding runs entirely in your browser using a Canvas Path2D mask + clip(). Your image never leaves your device.
Why is the output PNG even though I uploaded JPG?
JPG can't carry an alpha channel - the rounded corners need transparency to look right against any background. PNG output preserves that. If you upload a JPG, the file size will grow on output - that's expected.
What's the difference between 50% radius and the circle tool?
On a perfect square, 50% radius produces a circle. On non-square photos, 50% radius produces an ellipse (the maximum rounding for that aspect). Our circle tool centre-crops to a square first, then applies a perfect circle - pick that for avatars where you need a true circle output.
Can I round only specific corners?
Currently all four corners use the same radius. Per-corner radii would need a 4-slider UI - on our roadmap. For mixed corners, open the result in the AI editor and use the layer mask tool.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes - 40 MB per image. Most phone photos are well under this.
