- Will the plate be readable after blurring?
- Not at our default blur intensity (20+ px on a typical phone photo). At 40 px and above, the plate is fully obscured even with image-processing recovery attempts. For maximum security, use our pixelate-photo tool with a 30+ px block size, or fill the area with a solid rectangle in the AI editor.
- Does this auto-detect plates?
- No - this is a manual drag-rect tool. Auto plate detection requires specialised ML models that don't run reliably client-side. Manual selection takes 5 seconds per plate and gives you full control over what gets hidden.
- Can I blur multiple plates in a parking lot photo?
- Yes - drag a rect over each plate. There's no cap; we've tested with 20+ regions on a single 12 MP photo without performance issues.
- Will the rest of the car / scene stay sharp?
