How it works

  1. 1

    Drop your photo

Drag & drop or browse to upload. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC up to 40 MB.

  2. 2

    Drag the temperature slider

Right for warmer (R+, B-), left for cooler (R-, B+). Green stays untouched - exactly how camera white-balance controls work.

  3. 3

    Download or open in editor

Save the adjusted result, or open it in our AI editor to stack additional adjustments, filters, and AI tools.

Why use this online tool

True white-balance shift

Adjusts only the red and blue channels (green stays put) - the same maths as camera white-balance. Cleaner than naive 'tint' filters that shift every channel.

Live preview

Drag the slider and see the result update instantly. No 'apply' click - find the exact value that works for your photo, then save.

100% browser-side

The adjustment runs on a Canvas in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device - no upload, no server, no privacy risk.

Free, no watermark

Unlimited adjustments, no signup, no overlay on the output.

When to use it

  • Indoor photos under cool fluorescent / LED light - drag right to add warmth
  • Outdoor portraits at midday with harsh blue cast - warm them by +20
  • Tungsten / incandescent indoor scenes that came out too orange - drag left
  • Travel photos where the wrong white-balance preset got baked in
  • Editorial / fashion shoots aiming for a 'cool blue' or 'golden warm' aesthetic

Frequently asked questions

Does this upload my photo to a server?
No. The adjustment runs entirely in your browser using direct ImageData pixel manipulation. Your image never leaves your device.
Temperature vs the warm / cool filter - which one?
Our warm and cool filters are presets at fixed strengths. The temperature slider lets you dial anywhere from -100 (very cool) to +100 (very warm) in 1-step increments. Use the slider when you need fine control; use the presets for one-tap looks.
Why doesn't the green channel change?
Real-world white-balance affects mainly the warm-cool axis (R-B), not the green-magenta axis. Camera white-balance controls work the same way - the 'tint' (green-magenta) is a separate control that's rarely needed. We expose the cleaner R-B-only version here.
Can I fix a strongly-blue underwater photo?
Partially - dragging right to +60-80 will warm up most of the cast. For severe cases (blue swallows everything), our AI editor has a smarter underwater white-balance tool that does per-pixel correction.
Can I reset to the original?
Yes - drop the slider to 0 (or whichever value means 'no change' for this control) to see the original. The source is never modified - the tool always operates on a copy.
Can I stack multiple adjustments?
In this widget, one slider at a time. For stacked edits (e.g. brightness + contrast + saturation), use our AI editor where multiple adjustments live side-by-side as non-destructive layers.
