Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses EdMyPic, whether on a Free plan, a Credit Pack, Pro, or via a third-party embed. It forms part of the Terms of Service - a violation of this AUP is a violation of the Terms.
We keep the rules in one document so you always know where to look. We may enforce any rule below without prior notice.
1. The Absolute Prohibitions
You must NEVER use EdMyPic to generate, attempt to generate, upload, or distribute:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any sexual, sexualised, or exploitative depiction of a minor - real or AI-generated, drawn, rendered, or photographic - is strictly forbidden. This includes prompts that describe or imply a minor. Violations are reported to NCMEC (or the competent authority in your jurisdiction) and result in an immediate and permanent ban.
- Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII). This includes AI-generated nudes, "undressed", "deepfake-naked", or sexualised depictions of any real person (identifiable or recognisable) without their explicit, informed consent. Covered by the US Take It Down Act 2025, the UK Online Safety Act, Germany's StGB § 184k, Australia's enhanced Online Safety Act, and equivalent laws globally.
- Sexual content depicting real identifiable individuals without their consent, whether nude or not - including altered clothing, poses, or contexts implying sexual activity.
- Content designed to facilitate terrorism, mass violence, or attacks on critical infrastructure, including operational details, propaganda, or recruitment material.
- Biometric identification across sessions - you may not use the Service or its output to build a face-recognition database, surveil a person, or re-identify a person from another context.
2. Not Allowed Unless Legally Permitted
The following require clear legal basis (e.g. your own likeness, express written consent, newsworthy use, or a comparable exception in your jurisdiction):
- Depictions of real public or private persons in misleading or defamatory contexts (e.g. a politician endorsing a product, a doctor endorsing a cure, a celebrity in a compromising pose).
- Political manipulation or election-related "deepfakes" of real candidates or officials - always prohibited in the 60 days before any election the user is in, and regulated in many jurisdictions year-round.
- Synthetic impersonation intended to defraud, phish, or bypass identity verification (e.g. AI-generated photo-IDs, bank-KYC selfies).
- Use of a trademarked logo, character, or protected design in a way that confuses consumers or dilutes the brand.
- Detailed instructions for manufacturing weapons, explosives, biological/chemical/nuclear/radiological agents, malware, or for conducting credit-card/tax/benefits fraud.
3. Not Allowed
- Harassment, targeted hate, or threats against individuals or protected groups. Artistic, satirical, or educational context is considered case-by-case but does not override §1.
- Self-harm or suicide encouragement, including "pro-ana" imagery and content glorifying suicide.
- Graphic real-world gore, torture, or animal cruelty, except for obviously fictional, educational, or news contexts where the user indicates the context.
- Infringement of third-party copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or publicity rights.
- Spam, deceptive marketing, or SEO manipulation at scale (including mass-generation of similar images to spoof product listings).
- Malicious automation: scraping, credential stuffing, rate-limit circumvention, credit-system abuse, multi-account farming, reverse-engineering our models, or using the Service to derive training data for a competing model.
- Content that is illegal in your jurisdiction but legal elsewhere: your jurisdiction applies. Examples include certain religious, political, or cultural depictions regulated in specific countries.
4. Sexual Content Involving Adults
Realistic sexual content involving adults is currently not supported on EdMyPic. Our moderation system blocks both prompts and outputs that cross the line. Even where such content would be legal for consenting adults, we do not offer it because:
- it is disproportionately abused for NCII;
- the underlying models we use prohibit it in their licences;
- our payment processor prohibits it.
Attempts to circumvent the block (leet-speak, foreign-language paraphrases, multi-step jailbreaks) are themselves a policy violation and may accelerate enforcement.
5. Prompts About Real People
You may generate images of real, identifiable people only when at least one of the following is true:
- It is you (your own likeness).
- You have written, informed consent from that person (or their guardian for minors - see §1, minors are never permitted in sexual context).
- The person is a public figure AND the depiction is clearly satirical, journalistic, or historical, AND it cannot reasonably be mistaken for a genuine photograph (i.e. you comply with EU AI Act Art. 50 marking and local law).
- The use is otherwise permitted by law (news, parody, commentary) in your jurisdiction.
When in doubt, don't.
6. Marking AI-Generated Content (EU AI Act)
If you are in the EU, UK, or distributing content to EU/UK users, you are legally required to disclose that your content is AI-generated when it depicts real people, events, or places. Our exports may include C2PA/IPTC metadata to support this disclosure; stripping the metadata is at your own risk. We may, at our discretion, add a visible watermark on the Free plan.
7. Age and Parental Responsibility
EdMyPic is for users aged 18 and over. Parents and guardians are responsible for the actions of any minor who accesses the Service on their device or account.
8. Reporting Violations
If you see a violation - an embedded editor producing harmful output, an account generating NCII of you, a phishing site using our brand - report it to abuse@edmypic.com with as much detail as possible. We respond to verified reports within 72 hours.
For CSAM or child-sexual-exploitation concerns you can also report directly to:
- NCMEC CyberTipline (US/global): https://report.cybertip.org
- Internet Watch Foundation (UK/global): https://report.iwf.org.uk
- Your national law-enforcement cybercrime unit.
9. Enforcement
We use a combination of automated prompt/image moderation, manual review of flagged content, and user reports. Enforcement actions are described in Terms §6.
We preserve moderation records as described in Privacy §9 and may share them with law enforcement on valid legal process.
Good-faith mistakes. The moderation system is automated and will occasionally misclassify legitimate prompts. A first-time false-positive does not incur a strike. You can appeal as described in the Terms.
10. Changes
We update this AUP as laws and risks evolve. Material changes are announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
